Cobalt Scrap

Cobalt scrap (Co Scrap) and cobalt alloy scrap (Co Alloy Scrap) play a vital roll in the recycle efforts of the U.S. The ratio of cobalt consumed is said to be a 50/50 ratio between new cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap and old cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap. Cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap are recycled to be used in a variety of ways at Monico Alloys. Superalloys, chemical compounds, cutting tools, magnetic properties and specialty steels are only a few general areas for which cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap are used.
Sources from which cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap derive are from the manufacturing and use in the U.S. Cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap also may enter the U.S. as imports from foreign countries. Old cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap consists of cobalt-bearing products that are not longer in use. Turbine blades (jet engine parts), spent rechargeable batteries, cutting tools and magnets are a few category types in which cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap can be obtained and recycled at Monico Alloys.
Even though there is a wide variety of technology used to recycle scrap metal such as cobalt scrap and cobalt alloy scrap, the main goal at Monico Alloys is returning the scrap metal to the consumers as a useable product.
